This photo was taken whilst waiting for the Metro to arrive when in Paris. The train was just pulling into the station and I thought it would be an opportune moment to capture people on the metro. I decided to to isolate the guy I yellow as he immediately stood out on the picture when I reviewed it afterwards.
Came across this musician while walking across the Pont d'Arcole. I had my 50mm prime lens on my camera so I took a quick snap of him as I walked past on my way to Notre-Dame. I cropped the image quite heavily so as to remove a lot of the sky and road in front of him.
This is a great building to take architectural photos of as there are plenty of interesting angles and surfaces to point the lens at. This photo is one that I particularly like as there are plenty of clean modern lines.
I have been taking pictures on and off since 2003 when I got my first digital camera. I did not have any particular interest in photography until digital cameras started to take off. I have always had an interest in computers and the introduction of the digital camera has allowed me to incorporate the art of taking images into this interest.
I currently work as a web and database developer, this seems to fit nicely along side the photography, it has provided me with the skills needed to use programs such as Adobe Photoshop and the ability to produce this website. I hold a Level 2 City & Guilds Award in Photography and have improved my photography over the years through a simple process of trial and error. I am now at a point with my photography where I feel it is worthy of been shown to a wider audience. I have a selection of my best work on the Portfolio page of this website.
